Mission Statement
The purpose of SIG Performance is to promote learning, understanding and the mastering of performance issues and management among Hewlett-Packard professionals, to represent HP professionals regarding performance needs and issues to Hewlett-Packard and to encourage communication among HP professionals with respect to the topic and importance of performance. The initial list will consist of the HP-UX, HP MPE, NT and LINUX on HP platforms.
Goals
- Encourage performance-related panels at major conferences covering the various platforms.
- Encourage performance related presentations at major conferences and events
- Publish a performance track for events
- Encourage communication regarding performance issues, upcoming changes to environments, etc. via email. Establish searchable storage areas for performance related information
- Establish communication lines between Performance SIG and representatives of Hewlett-Packard.
